Coming Soon... The Career.js Podcast!
I'm proud to announce that I'm starting a new podcast! I've been doing podcasts for this blog for a while, but I wanted to do something more. So I got together with my buddy Jeff from Ember Screencasts and David from The JS Guy and we came up with the Career.js podcast.
So What Is The Podcast About?
Career.js is a podcast about helping you with your career as a software developer. It's geared towards developers at all levels in their careers. Take a look below, this is our intro for the podcast. It should give you a good idea what to expect.
Welcome to Career.js! We’re three software developers discussing strategies and tips to help you build not just software, but your career.
Whether you’re just starting out, making the jump to senior developer, or trying to start your own software business, our panelists and guests will discuss topics important to you, saving you months and years of painful trial and error and giving you insights into other parts of the industry.
What We Are Not
If you're looking for the latest information on React/Angular/Ember, framework of the week, then look elsewhere. Podcasts like Java Script Jabber and .Net Rocks have you covered.
We also aren't an interview show. I think it's important that we have interviews on occasion. Listening to someone else's perspective is great and you can learn a lot. Unfortunately, the interview style podcast show is really saturated. Even in this small developer niche we're in have great interview style podcasts like Learn To Code With Me, Code Newbie and Modern Web.
Our approach is to have more round table like discussions mixed in with interviews. That way, you the viewer, have more choice. I think this will keep our show fresh.
Where and When Can I Download It?
So I hope I peaked your interest a little. We are planning on launching our first four episodes on Monday July 25 on iTunes, Google Play and Stitcher. We've already recorded eight episodes so we are ahead of schedule. You'll also be able to hear the episodes on our brand new website Careerjs.com as well.

These are questions we hear all the time, so we thought it would be interesting in discussing them. We also don't always agree, you'll find that out in the college episode.
